‘A writer is a world trapped inside a person’ -Victor Hugo… Never has anything made more sense to me than this quote. This is how i feel as a writer, my mind is truly a universe that i spill out into my books. I liked this quote so much I got it tattooed on my leg. I started thinking about famous quotes and the impact that they have and decided to start each of my books with a quote that fits the book. ‘Wrath of God’ was a book that dealt with the thin line between good and bad so I choose the quote by Albert Einstein, ‘All it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.’ People often think if they don’t do anything bad then they are by default good, but it’s not enough to just not do bad… You also need to prevent bad from happening. ‘As Shadows Scream’ was a much darker book that explored evil and intense emotion so the quote used was quite a depressing and dark one by Alduous Huxley, ‘What if our world is just another planets hell?’ That quote hurts right in the feels. Reality shouldn’t feel like a hell and a lot of times in a lot of places on Earth it feels like it really could be. For ‘While Gods Whisper’ I used a quote from an ancient greek philosopher, Euripides who said, ‘Whom the gods wish to destroy, they first make mad’… It is a quote that makes sense as you read the book, hehe… I really hope one day that I will be quoted and something I said will be used in someones literature or tattooed on them. Words have power and I wish mine to be truly powerful one day. What is your favourite quote? Let me Know!
